He was forced to start from 5th position on Sunday due to a grid penalty incurred during qualifying with Alex Marquez (Ducati).
In the Sprint race, behind Bagnaia, Marc Marquez (Ducati) and Pedro Acosta (GASGAS) finished second and third, respectively.
In Sunday’s main event, Bagnaia took the lead at the first corner and never relinquished it. Championship points leader Jorge Martin (Ducati) stalked Bagnaia from second position throughout the entire race until he was passed on the final lap by Enea Bastianini (Ducati) who went on to finish in second position just ahead of Martin in third.
