KTM has today announced a new 2024 naked model, the 990 Duke. Featuring a parallel twin engine similar to the existing 790 Duke and 890 Duke models, the new 990 Duke displaces 947cc.
After boasting about its new Superquadro Mono engine, a 659cc single making a claimed 77.5 hp, Ducati has now unveiled the first bike housing this powereplant. The 2024 Ducati Hypermotard 698 Mono weighs a claimed 333 pounds wet, has fully adjustable suspension and the trademark Ducati steel trellis frame.
The Thailand MotoGP round was held this weekend with two races run under dry conditions. Jorge Martin (Ducati) dominated the weekend with a pole position, new lap record and wins in both the Saturday Sprint and Sunday full race.
We told you about Ducati’s new Multistrada V4 RS, which is an exotic, and expensive, Superbike with upright Adventure ergonomics. That Ducati, at least arguably, fits into a genre started by BMW with its S 1000 XR.
This is an MV Agusta currently in MD’s test fleet. As reported earlier, KTM already has a 25.1% ownership interest in the Italian Manufacturer MV Agusta. KTM has plans in place to acquire a majority interest in MV in Spring, 2026, as indicated in the short press release below.
