This mototechnology was not only able to capture the leading positions in Ukraine, but also to keep them from the attacks of competing brands. As a result, Musstang has No. 1 and sales growth by 148%. In the second place was motorcycles under the Spark brand, whose sales increased by 90%. Both of these brands finally pushed the Olympus Viper.
But literally one step away from the former favorite, two more powerful competitors finished - Shineray and Lifan.
Not bad added in sales and Geon, which now has a wide range of models and had fashionable novelties. But in 2018, Bajaj was already on his heels. Indian motorcycles rapidly added to sales throughout the year and finished with 103% dynamics.
They broke into the Top 10 and two new brands: Forte and Sparta, which pressed Loncin.
As you can see, the Ukrainian Top-10 and in 2018 entirely consists of budget brands. But the year was also successful for famous brands. So, BMW Motorrad added 33% in sales, Harley-Davidson + 43%, and Ducatti + 57%. But Japanese manufacturers, as they say, "did not catch the wave" and did not particularly take advantage of the growth of the Ukrainian motor market.
If we analyze customer preferences by class, then in AUTO-Consulting they note a noticeable decline in interest in cruisers in 2018 (-42%), and similarly lost Super Sport. But the classic, enduro and scooter, on the contrary, gained popularity.
The best-selling motorcycle of 2018 in Ukraine is MUSSTANG MT110-2, which sold almost 2,000 units. The hit of the season is LIFAN LF150-2E, with an indicator of 1.5 thousand copies.
If we talk about famous brands, the best-selling motorcycle of Ukraine in 2018 was the HONDA XR 150 LEK, in second place is the constant classic YAMAHA YBR 125. It is significant, but in 2018 the new generation of the best-selling branded motorcycles burst and the new generation HONDA GL1800 Gold Wing.
